How does this rum taste?
The "Clairin Vaval Cavaillon" was produced in Haiti at the Arawaks distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Velier. It was distilled in 2015 from Sugar cane juice with a Pot Still. The rum has an ABV of 51,1%. No added sugar. 15 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.4/10. More complex than the 2016 bottling. I also like the finish much better. Very funky and intensely herbal-floral.
Dirty!!! Uncompromisingly dirty, but very horny. The Vaval reminds of a good cachaca, probably an excellent choice for a caipirinha. But I could not taste that, my wife used the rest of the sample to remove the nail polish 😉As a suitable reading I recommend "The hour of the comedians" by Graham Greene.
