By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
For me, this is one of the best sipping rums from Foursquare. Various other releases at cask strength have already shown that Foursquare harmonizes well with ex-sweet wine casks, and here is proof of this at reduced drinking strength.
If you know the Foursquare Port Cask Finish, then this one is similar but more subtle in general. A nice complex rum with natural sweetness to it.
A varnish blended with fruit on the nose, marzipan. Discretion and elegance, a fresh, pastry-like quality. A soft, balanced, woody and slightly diluted attack on the palate. A short but still elegant finish. Pineapple and monoi in the empty glass. A rum that's no competition beast, but one that knows how to seduce. I love it!
Very very tasty easy sipping foursquare. The 48% are ideally chosen. Nice combo of coconut, milk chocolate, grape jelly and some caramel with salt.
