By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Tasting in parallel with the Nobilis RX12424. The nose brings typical Guyana REV notes. First and foremost, dried dark fruits, oak, toasted aromas, burnt sugar and malt. The Nobilis seems a tad more intense. On the palate, the roasted notes increase again and dominated the first impression. Gradually, the other components shine through and create a balanced picture. The finish is the most interesting for me because wonderfully spiced plum jam and raisins appear here. Bitterness is also there but within reason. This is the kind of rum I like to enjoy in winter in front of the fireplace. This rum is confusingly similar to the aforementioned Nobilis possibly the alcohol is better integrated in the Rum Club Ed 39.
Very nice bottling 😍 Nose: Heavy guyana notes Mouth: Complex structure, without being spicy or bitter/astringend! Amazing! The first few seconds in the mouth it tastes like „fruit schnaps“ which i didn‘t like…. Finish: Long with lovely guyana notes! The alcohol is intregrated perfectly!
Fantastic REV at a really good price-performance ratio! Beautiful dark red fruits paired with molasses, wood and tobacco. Complexity without end! Alcohol very well integrated! So Guyana makes fun!
Good rum with great PLV! Really fun. DNA of the Revs is present, but somewhat beastly compared to the 94 vintages. Nevertheless, the typical notes are present. Sweetness, wood, spice and fruit.
