#5051 17.01.2025 Enjoying some samples at home. Nose Medium intense, fruity, spice, light wood, light prunes, light herbs, faint tannins, light caramel. Palate Round, light wood, faint roasted, spice, lightly sweet, light caramel, light herbs, faint tannins, fruits. Finsih Medium to long, wood, fruits, light prunes, light herbal, light tannins. In order to open up properly and the ABV to settle it needs to rest for a good while. The empty glass has fruits, caramel and herbs.
Well, that was really a miracle bag for the Underdog Split #3. As I had two bottles of it to split, I noticed when filling that one bottle was clear, the other already had recognizable barrel deposits. That's why I tried both at the same time. The one with the fuzz in the bottle was good, the other was strange. Not really a ripper, sorry. But with cola it's quite drinkable for a quick buzz.
A one-dimensional, obviously sweetened simple rum
Blind tasting: Spanish style, maybe a wine/sherry finish? Quite alcoholic on the finish, column style. I can't identify the country.
