How does this rum taste?
Berry, cherry, and vanilla are the core notes defining this Ten Cane from That Boutique-Y Rum Company. RumX users highlight the "stark ausgeprägtem Kirscharoma" and a spectrum of red berries, with kondgab summing up: "Vanilla, berries and cherry." There's also a thread of barrel and leathery spice, plus a hint of solvents for those attuned to Trinidad rums. The balance between the pronounced cherry and woody undertones gets nods, while vegetal and honey aspects add digressional interest.

To Ten Cane
A Ten Cane with the classic, but strongly pronounced cherry aroma, almost as sweet as a Piedmont cherry. There are also a few spicy, woody aromas that provide the necessary counterbalance. I like it
My first Tencane. I like it, lots of red berries, cherry very dominant. Also lots of vanilla and a little wood. Alcohol very well integrated. In terms of design, I always like the bottlings from TB-YR very much.
So I don't know if Trinidad and I will become very good friends. This one is also very characterized by trigemenal notes, solvents and tar. Maybe my taste is just too far removed from the masses... The whole thing is too pungently austere for me. The only thing I really like is the finish.
Vanilla, berries and cherry.
