The Rumbastic Jamaica, an independent release by Brühler Whiskyhaus, is a 19-year-old Jamaican rum distilled from molasses and aged in a pot still. Bottled at cask strength, this limited edition has only 142 bottles with an ABV of 55.7%. Users note its intense aromas of banana, vanilla, and bourbon, complemented by barrel and malt nuances. Surprisingly good! Very malty & bourbony on the nose, initially thought I was smelling a whisky. Vanilla, young Bananas and some chocolate fudge on the palate. Unfortunately the alcohol ist not very well integrated which keeps it from a higher score.
Irgendein widerliches Süßwein-Finish plättet das Destillat fast vollständig. Widerlich.
