The "MaD Barbados 2007" was produced in Barbados at the Foursquare distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler MANandDram. It was distilled in 2007 from Molasses with a Pot and Column Still and then aged for 11 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 62%. "#4207 This was a nice surprise. It does have to rest for a good while in order to release all the flavours and also the bite from the alcohol. Once rested it's a nice and well balanced rum with nice fruit, spices and chocolate topped with some roasted wood notes. Oily on the palate with a very long finish. Draws nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some banana and herbs."
