It was distilled in 2002 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 18 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 60,5%. //update: rating confirmed, really like th dry finish Really fruity on bananas & tropical fruits. Dry finish, slight astringency. Well balanced alcohol, powerful without being too present. Really like it!
#4204 This was a really nice surprise and I would have loved a bottle on my shelf. Unfortunately it's a very rare bottle today. Intense and fruity with very good balance between the elements and well integrated ABV. Fresh and dry palate and it draws really nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass is nice and has some smoke and anise to it.
In der Nase schon recht süß, neben den tropischen Früchten und rostigen Aromen. Auch am Gaumen angenehm süß und fruchtig, dazu genau das richtige Maß an Holz. Sehr lecker, davon gerne eine ganze Flasche.
Overall a great one but slightly too astringent on palate and finish for my liking.
