How does this rum taste?
Typical C<>H Hampden on the nose: tons of overripe tropical fruits, esters, and that familiar hit of glue and solvents. Many point to sweet vanilla, caramel, and even a twist of meringue and custard on the palate, as Giorgio Garotti says, “una parte inusuale dolce di meringa agli agrumi.” The consensus is well-integrated alcohol and an ester-heavy, fruit-forward style, with crazyforgoodbooze noting, “Überreife Ananas und Banane, intensive Ester und leckere Sauerkirsche.” There’s balance between funky, fruity aromas and a smoother, slightly sweet finish that stands out for a C<>H.

Really strong ester fruit nose ... Lots of varnish and solvent. Banana, papaya Anna's honeydew melon fermented fruit salad . The mouth flows slowly and then more and more violently with a lot of ester and very ripe tropical fruits wow ... Slightly dry, no off-notes ... Insanely intense and round ... Wonderful. The stuff my dreams are made of ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Mai Tai : 5/5 no more words needed 😊
Everything you would expect from hampden! Lots of ripe fruit, a fermented and sometimes sour side and in this rum an unusually sweet side of citrus meringue and custard that gives balance to the whole rum!

Schöner tropisch gereifter Hampden. Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden. Sehr fruchtig, Ester, Minze. Bringt relativ viel Süße mit und da könnte er etwas besser ausbalanciert sein. Aber das ist meckern auf hohen Niveau.
