Typical C<>H Hampden on the nose: tons of overripe tropical fruits, esters, and that familiar hit of glue and solvents. Everything you would expect from hampden! Lots of ripe fruit, a fermented and sometimes sour side and in this rum an unusually sweet side of citrus meringue and custard that gives balance to the whole rum!
Really strong ester fruit nose ... Lots of varnish and solvent. Banana, papaya Anna's honeydew melon fermented fruit salad . The mouth flows slowly and then more and more violently with a lot of ester and very ripe tropical fruits wow ... Slightly dry, no off-notes ... Insanely intense and round ... Wonderful. The stuff my dreams are made of ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Mai Tai : 5/5 no more words needed 😊
Extremely good Hampden. Tropically matured!
The nose gives you exactly what you expect from a 12 years old tropical Hampden marked C<>H with loads of fruits and esters. The palate is surprisingly less extreme with sweet notes like vanilla and caramel on top of the typical profile. A very good rum from which I really like the twist between nose and palate.
