How does this rum taste?
Clairin Ansyen Vaval (The Nectar) is a unique Haitian rum from the Arawaks distillery, bottled by Velier. Distilled in 2018 using a pot still from sugarcane juice and aged for over four years, this rum offers a complex aroma dominated by citrus and fresh sugarcane notes, with subtle hints of vanilla and caramel. On the palate, its floral and smoky character is complemented by citrus undertones and a light vanilla finish. While some user reviews highlight its fresh and rounded profile, others find the flavors too light or not as bold due to the Caroni cask aging. This Clairin is best appreciated by those who favor fresh, citrus-driven rums.

#4520 09.12.2023 This is a very fresh profile with a medicinal touch. The palate is well rounded with light glue and a faint smoky note. The finish is medium to long with a nice citrus touch. The empty glass has some faint tar and light caramel.
