Sample als Probe bekommen. Der Sebastian macht immer handwerklich sehr gute Arbeit. Der „Spanische Stil“ des Panama Rums ist zwar eigentlich nicht ganz meins, aber hier wurde dieser Rum passend in einem spanischem Rotweinfass ausgebaut. Ein Rotwein von einem kleinen, aber sehr feinen Weingut aus der Region Priorat. Nase: ich bin überrascht, vollmundig, intensiv und echt aromatisch lecker. Fruchtig-würzig mit einer rauchigen Unternote. Das Rotwein-Fass kommt deutlich mit etwas muffigem Ton durch. Intensive dunkle Früchte. Brombeere, dunkle Kirsche und Preiselbeeren, wie man sie zu Wildgerichten isst. Dazu habe ich dann auch so etwas wie Lorbeerblätter und Wacholder. Etwas Aprikose ist aber auch dabei. Eine schwere Süße wie von Früchtebrot ist auch zu vernehmen. Interessante Mischung. 8,0 Gaumen: auch am Gaumen überraschend intensiv, trotz der nur knapp 48%. Das ist klar dem Rotwein zu verdanken. Dieser ist sehr präsent, aber nicht unangenehm. Leder und Tabak zu Beginn mit würzigem Antritt. Backgewürz, Muskat und Vanille. Dazu Aprikose, Brombeere und dunkle Traube. Nussig Richtung Pekanuss. Trocken holzig. Doch, mit dem kann man sich beschäftigen, der größere Bruder wäre da noch etwas interessanter. 8,2
Ich bin überrascht! Das Finish bringt vor allem nussige Noten und auch leichte Rotweinnoten hervor.
