Un joli flacon pour un blend qui se veut aussi soft que caractériel. Le nez est assez hétéroclite, avec des notes funky légères et des fruits tropicaux, mais surtout avec une forte influence empyreumatique, comme une épaisse fumée qui étreint les nasaux. Le bois de santal ressort et renforce cette impression. Un profil atypique. L’attaque en bouche confirme le nez avec une empreinte de fumée presque étouffante. Le côté boisé et fumé couvre le palais, ne laissant de la place qu’à la noix de coco grillée, des épices et quelques fruits exotiques. Dommage que l’on ressente la dilution à 45%. La finale ne fait pas exception au reste, avec des notes fumées, boisées et fruitées, quelques esters, du caramel et des tanins. Un rhum original qui a de la personnalité, mais qui manque un peu de charme, de finesse et de profondeur pour être mieux classé.
