Barbancourt Haitian Proof Rhum Blanc
Most love its intense cane-juice character, value and mixer power; critics mention sharp alcohol, metallic/medicinal notes and short finish. Consensus: a funky, affordable “baby clairin” that rewards exploration.
Fans of grassy, vegetal cane-juice rums who want a funky but approachable “clairin-light” for Daiquiris, Ti’ Punch and occasional neat pours at a friendly price.

My 1st blanc I like it a lot I can drink it neat or mix it a very good value rum
Unfortunately, this one didn't really convince me. It really is something special. For me, the paprika flavors are very dominant here and since I don't really like paprika, not my cup of tea at all. I'll try the rest of the sample in a daiquiri, maybe I'll like it a little better then. But not my cup of tea on its own.
Fabulous expression. Changed my mind about Barbancourt. Great value. Kind of defies the categories of nosing/tasting notes on this site; absolutely bursting with incredible off-axis flavors. Approaching the level of the lmdw clarins for less than half the price.
On the one hand, unusual and exciting because of this light milky cappuccino, cocoa note. On the other hand, too sharp, too metallic/impure and unfortunately generally very "thin" and unaromatic. Almost meaningless in the daiquiri. Too bad.
