How does this rum taste?
Plantation Peru Rum from Maison Ferrand is a distinctive spirit distilled in 2006 at the Destilerías Unidas S.A. de Peru. Crafted from molasses using both pot and column stills, it matured for 13 years. This rum features aromas of vanilla, woody notes, and pineapple, while its taste profile highlights vanilla, spice, and coconut with a touch of sweetness. Users noted its approachable complexity, making it a desirable 'easy sipper', with a fruity medium finish and caramel undertones. The rum is slightly sweetened, dosed at 8g/l, and carries a respectable 43.1% ABV, balancing flavor with subtle strength. Ideal for rum enthusiasts seeking value and a pleasant sipping experience.

This was an ok rum. It actually boasted some decent complexity but still an approachable familiarity. Worth noting that this was dosed with 8g/l. That’s said, for a lower ABV this one does still have some backbone.
Lovely rum with a fruity medium to long finish. Price to quality is very good.
Bissel langweilig, aber typischer Spanier. Da geht auf jeden Fall noch was. Fruchtig, Kakao und recht mild. Das PLV ist recht gut gewesen. Ein absoluter easy Sipper
7,4:On the nose, the roasted notes of a well-toasted oak barrel coat a rather light rum. This one lets out slightly floral and dry notes, as well as some freshly fruity touches, like lychee. Aeration reveals a rounder and more gourmand woodiness, typical of American oak. Vanilla, coconut and tobacco are obviously part of it, bringing a little bourbon side to this rum with caramelized accents. 7,4:The palate is faithful to our white oak, which doesn't wait a second to show us what it does best. The flavors of vanilla, coconut and tobacco are executed according to the rules of the art, with a small discreet but gourmet coating. 7,2:The finish continues with these reassuring aromas, instilling a little molasses and caramel.
