Famille Ricci Zodiac Cancer
The "Zodiac Cancer" was produced in Martinique at the Distillerie du Simon distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Famille Ricci. It was distilled in 2008 from Sugar cane juice and then aged for 15 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 60,2%. This is a limited release and there are only 290 bottles. 5 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.1/10. Very nice Agricole. Broad spectrum with beautiful nougat and confectionery sweetness, well-balanced wood, fresh green notes, somewhat heavy fruit aromas...the alcohol also makes itself known on the palate, but at over 60% it is allowed to do so. Great barrel selection, very nice release!
A very pastry-like Beenleigh on the palate. Wood, vanilla, cocoa. Some dried fruit and strong pepper on the finish. The degree is high for me. Not necessarily my favorite, but a fine selection.
