How does this rum taste?
- Distinct tropical fruit notes
- Funky Jamaican profile
- Rich ester complexity
The "Flensburg Rum Company Jamaica Single Cask Rum HLCF" is a distinctive cask-strength rum from the Hampden distillery, showcasing Jamaica's signature tropical fruit and funk. Distilled with care and aged for two years in molasses pot still, this limited release is marked by its esters and sherry notes, though some find the alcohol underwhelmingly integrated. While vibrant tropical fruit and ester elements appeal to some, others note prominent solvent impressions and an overbearing alcohol presence. A notable feature is its sherry finish, appreciated by some for its added sweetness, though it can feel dominant for others. Enthusiasts of Hampden typically favor this complex and robust offering.

"Finish/aging is very dominat on the nose and palate, but works better (more balanced) than the PX version."
