How does this rum taste?
The Plantation Trinidad (Sauternes Wine Cask) Rum offers a distinctive experience, primarily shaped by its maturation in Sauternes wine casks and its 10-year aging period. It exhibits pronounced alcoholic and wine aromas with subtle floral and fruity notes. The rum's taste follows with noticeable alcoholic strength, sweet, floral, and grape nuances, complemented by a moderate burn. Users highlight the unique profile that transcends traditional rum expectations, attributing its character to the interplay of sweet white wine influence. Whilst appreciated neat for its singularity, it lacks impact when mixed, as noted by user feedback on RumX, where the unmixed experience is preferred for appreciating its complex profile.

Great drink bir mixed but if you mix it your losing out; however , mixed you can certainly slam alot back but the price of the bottle you don't want to mix it
On The Rocks: On the nose you get moderate sweet white wine notes with mild fruit, floral and very mild oak notes. Taste reveals moderate sweet white wine notes with fruit and floral notes with alcohol and mild burn presence. The finish is long with the sweet white wine fades away and slowly returns to eventually fading out. This is a very unique, enjoyable and special rum. It is actually hard to believe that you are even drinking rum with this one. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose it has a very mild sweetness of grapes. Taste reveals a strong white wine sweetness shining through into a medium finish that evolves into a slightly bitter taste. This is still enjoyable mixed but i believe it deserves an unmixed experience.
Bitter … alcoholic taste .. long lasting ..like white wine./
Fresh, doesn't taste like typical rum, falls flat when mixed, washes out
