By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
A rum tasted at WLP. A nose of varnished wood and old leather, with some dried fruit. The palate is surprisingly lively, with deep aromas of casks and leather, and prunes. Long finish of old wood and leather.
#4148 LMDW picked a nice cask here. The price is a bit high but overall OK I think. A well balanced rum once rested for a good while. Nice dried fruits mixed with spices and some caramel. I like the medicinal note and licorice in the profile because it somehow freshens it up. Draws really nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some smoke and chocolate to it.
Blind taste. Rather disappointed by the smokiness
