The "Manta Ray Genesis" was produced in Trinidad at the Caroni distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Silver Seal. It was distilled in 1997 from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for 25 years. The rum has an ABV of 60,4%. This is a limited release and there are only 227 bottles. 7 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.1/10. The rum smells like Tar, and on the palate there is Tar, Yellow fruits.

"Really good, complex and at the same time round 97 vintage with slightly dirtier notes on the finish. Great selection!"
"Integrated alcohol, round taste, mid strong oil tongue. But - thats all. ... Caroni is a distillery from Trinidad, producing at the time of its greatest glory a rum that was added at a ratio of 1:10 to the Navajo blend. It was too strong and strange to be pleasant on the tongue. In 2000, the distillery ceased production and closed. Only in 2010 did tasters appear who took a liking to the rum because of its special taste. And the interest grew. Caroni belongs to the category of "you need to try before you die" rums. I recommend it, Caroni is a truly unique rum."
