“Ahead of the curve on this one as found in New York. The nose is surprisingly muted, classic foursquare bourbon notes, caramel and wood with a note I can’t quite place and land with litchi. Mouth is more classic, oak is there but does not overpower with some bright spice and tropical fruit soaked in caramel. Finish brings layers of spice with a long and lingering warm edge. It’s good for sure but not as elevated as some of the cask finishes or crisp as the 2008 six years it’s younger sibling to my taste”
