“The taste is more intense in this Abuelo XII – the burnt oak barrel clearly shines through – vanilla, honey sweetness and delicious dried fruits. The aftertaste is long-lasting, spicy and smoky - with notes of cocoa beans. I appreciate the higher ABV which compliments the intense flavor more.”

“Another exceptionally gourmand nose! Borderline candied vanilla if ever there was such a thing... aromas of plums and prunes are very present. Warm on the palate, with a slight bitterness at the start, followed by a strong presence of flambéed bananas. 3 anges, identical to the 2 oaks, but the barrels are taken from the very top, i.e. with a larger proportion of angels, so the rum is more concentrated.”
