To Bielle
"Tasted at the Whisky & Rum aan Zee festival IJmuiden 2023. Very (American) oaky/bourbon cask driven. Tasted at a festival, and it was nice, but probably needs more time."
Double distillation."
"Yo, fellas, Bielle - Premium 2011 - 🇬🇵 - 45% One of the latest pepites to be released by Bielle, the emblematic distillery of Marie-Galante that I no longer need to introduce to you. It's called premium because it's been double-distilled. The first in a Savalle column and the 2nd in a Muller still. The resulting distillate, from 2011, has been aged in ex-bourbon barrels until 2022. On the palate, there's brioche, stewed tropical and yellow fruit, almond and honey. There's also a hint of wood and spice that dominated the nose. Balance is the word that comes directly to mind when I taste this nectar, which could be described as a "summer rum" because it's so easy to drink without thirst. Cheers"
