How does this rum taste?
Tropical fruit and sweet brioche lead this 11-year-old Bielle, with gentle oak and bright lemon for balance. RumX tasters find it round and accessible, with lively bourbon-cask notes and a summery feel. Worth a sip for those curious about elegant yet easygoing agricole rums.

By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 46,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Tasted at the Whisky & Rum aan Zee festival IJmuiden 2023. Very (American) oaky/bourbon cask driven. Tasted at a festival, and it was nice, but probably needs more time.
Bielle Jarry , très doux, bonne longueur, facile. Très accessible mais manque peut-être manque de caractère. Double distillation.
Yo, fellas, Bielle - Premium 2011 - 🇬🇵 - 45% One of the latest pepites to be released by Bielle, the emblematic distillery of Marie-Galante that I no longer need to introduce to you. It's called premium because it's been double-distilled. The first in a Savalle column and the 2nd in a Muller still. The resulting distillate, from 2011, has been aged in ex-bourbon barrels until 2022. On the palate, there's brioche, stewed tropical and yellow fruit, almond and honey. There's also a hint of wood and spice that dominated the nose. Balance is the word that comes directly to mind when I taste this nectar, which could be described as a "summer rum" because it's so easy to drink without thirst. Cheers
