“Very elegant yet intense nose. Then on the palate the alcohol is not ideally integrated. A bit wild and yet thin. Can therefore not hold the very positive expectations of the aroma. The bottom line is a good St. Lucia for relaxed enjoyment.”

“Pleasant nose with some creamy, fruity aromas. Unfortunately rather thin on the palate, even for the nearly 46%. Still nice & creamy easy sipper, but far away from other chairman’s releases.”

“Edit: nochmal in Ruhe probiert und nach unten korrigiert. Ein netter Sipper, dem leider die Tiefe fehlt. Was aus einer fixen Idee im Kopf entstand, wurde mit Hilfe dieses Forums möglich gemacht. Da dieser Rum eigentlich nur für den griechischen Markt bestimmt ist, aber ein Mitglied zufällig in Athen war konnte meine Hirngespinst in die Tat umgesetzt werden. DANKE nochmal wOOtAN. Die Nase verspricht viel Frucht und ist mild, der Alkohol hält sich sehr im Hintergrund. Leider kann diese Fruchtigkeit im Mund nicht so intensiv fortgeführt werden. Aber denoch ist die vorhanden. Es mischt sich Milchschokolade und Karamellbonbon hinzu. Auch hier ist der Alkohol auch nur zu erahnen. Manche mögen sagen das er verwässert oder zu dünn ist, doch ich würde es eher als mild beschreiben. Man muss zugegeben er hat auch nur 45,9% und nur 9 Jahre in einem Ex-Bourbon Fass. Mein Fazit fällt trotzdem super positiv aus. Er ist eher ein easy Sipper, aber gemessen an P/L für einen tropisch gelagerten Rum, gebe ich ihm hier ein paar Extrapünktchen. Auch die Geschichte wie ich zu ihm kam, beeinflusst wohl meine objektive Bewertung. Mir egal, ich stehe dazu. Auch wenn es eher ein Rum für Einsteiger ist, dazu wäre er perfekt geeignet. Schade das er wie ich recherchiert habe nicht mit gut 65% abgefüllt worden ist, denke dann könnte er sehr gut mit manch anderer Chairman’s Abfüllung mithalten, wenn nicht sogar hinter sich lassen.”
