"Very elegant yet intense nose. Then on the palate the alcohol is not ideally integrated. A bit wild and yet thin. Can therefore not hold the very positive expectations of the aroma. The bottom line is a good St. Lucia for relaxed enjoyment."
"Edit: tried again in peace and corrected downwards. A nice sipper that unfortunately lacks depth. What originated from a fixed idea in my head was made possible with the help of this forum. Since this rum is actually only intended for the Greek market, but a member happened to be in Athens, my fantasy could be put into practice. THANK YOU again wOOtAN. The nose promises a lot of fruit and is mild, the alcohol is very much in the background. Unfortunately, this fruitiness cannot be continued so intensively in the mouth. But it is still there. Milk chocolate and butterscotch are mixed in. Here too, the alcohol can only be guessed at. Some may say that it is watered down or too thin, but I would describe it more as mild. You have to admit that it only has 45.9% and only 9 years in an ex-bourbon cask. My conclusion is still super positive. It's more of an easy sipper, but in terms of P/L for a tropically aged rum, I give it a few extra points here. The story of how I came across it probably also influences my objective assessment. I don't care, I stand by it. Even if it is more of a rum for beginners, it would be perfect for that. It's a shame that, as I researched, it wasn't bottled at a good 65%, because then I think it could keep up very well with some other Chairman's bottlings, if not even leave them behind."
"Pleasant nose with some creamy, fruity aromas. Unfortunately rather thin on the palate, even for the nearly 46%. Still nice & creamy easy sipper, but far away from other chairman’s releases."
"Angenehmer Sipper ohne großen Wiedererkennungswert, der wie erwartet jedoch weit hinter den Pot Stills zurückbleibt."
