“Alkohol könnte etwas besser eingebunden sein. Hatte vor dem Kauf die Befürchtung, dass der Port zu dominant sein könnte. Dies hat sich zum Glück nicht bewarheitet und gibt dem Rum eine gute Note. Für eine höhere Bewertung fehlt mir die Frucht. Dennoch schöne Gewürz, Holz und Röstaromen. Macht Spass. Mit längerer Oxidation wird diese Abfüllung besser.”

“Un nez de Läkerli (un biscuit bâlois avec du pain d’épices) très marqué et très agréable. La bouche fait la part belle au läkerli aussi avec un léger végétal et un très léger fumé. Un rhum étonnant !”

“Un Savanna particulièrement surprenant pour son compte d’âge. Le profil démarre sur un nez très pâtissier et rond qui fait la part belle à la gourmandise. On y trouve beaucoup de fruits en tout genre (fraise, fruits tropicaux, raisin, noix de coco), des épices et des notes sucrées très douces. Tabac, chocolat et notes boisées donnent un peu de profondeur. Après aération, le nez dévoile un soupçon de menthol très appréciable et qui se mélange bien au profil olfactif. L’attaque en bouche est très intense, marquée par les fruits (mangue, ananas, papaye, abricot, pêche) les notes florales et le menthol. Le côté gourmand et pâtissier reste présent pour arrondir les angles. Les épices et le boisé sont en soutien au palais avec un peu de piquant, sans être dérangeants. Le profil est très savoureux. L’alcool est très bien intégré. La finale est longue, douce et légèrement mentholée. Épices, fruits, boisé et pâtisseries donnent une combinaison aromatique homogène qui fonctionne bien et persiste pendant de longues minutes. Un Savanna généreux, riche et délicat, qui ravira les fans de la distillerie.”
