“Alcohol could be a little better integrated. Had before buying the fear that the port could be too dominant. This has fortunately not bewarheitet and gives the rum a good note. For a higher rating I lack the fruit. Nevertheless, nice spice, wood and roast flavors. Makes fun.”

“On the nose, there's some solvent on first approach; this rum needs a little patience at the bottom of the glass to develop that sublime Port finish aroma. On the palate, it's incredible how well the alcohol is integrated: you can barely feel the 62.1% - what a success! It's round, spicy and woody, with the sweetness of cognac and port blending so well. The finish is quite long, and the spiciness lingers for a while on the taste buds, which is quite pleasant. For me, this Savanna is a fine discovery at a price commensurate with its quality. Don't be alarmed by its 62.1% - you can't really feel it, it's very well made - I really recommend it.”
