Rest & Be Thankful Worthy Park Pure Single Jamaican Rum 2015
Most enjoy the classic Worthy Park nose and dry, toasty bourbon notes. Critics find the palate too mild and short. Consensus: well-made, good value, more mixer-friendly than mind-blowing.
Fans of Jamaican rum who want a softer, drier Worthy Park to sip casually or use in Mai Tais, with classic banana funk but without high-strength aggression or added sugar.

How does this rum taste?
Soft-spoken Worthy Park funk intro
If you’re WP-curious but wary of heavy funk or high ABV, this gives you the nose and character in a drier, softer package that works both neat and in cocktails.
Those chasing intense high-ester funk bombs, big cask-strength complexity, or a long, powerful finish; also not ideal if you prefer clearly sweet, dessert-style rums.

Super typical Worthy Park in the nose. Maybe a tad more dry and lemonny as usual, but obviously lovely like most WP. In the taste: influence of the american oak is obvious: vanilla. Baked banana. Something toasted/charred with a dry whiff of smoke. Pretty dry for a WP. The funk is well integrated. Flowers. 46% is a fine strength for this. The spirit itself shines and it's prominent yet austere. A marzipan/nougat sweetness. Great small batch release. Worth the 68€.
Frankly, it doesn't break 3 legs, but it's well made; and it goes down superbly in Mai Tai. Price per bottle not excessive... the nose is top-notch, quite lively with fruit and light oak, but on the palate it fades too quickly.
A pleasant Worthy Park that seems a little green behind the ears due to a latent, youthful bitterness, but also has a nice, lively fruitiness in the form of unripe banana. If it retained the developing creaminess of the mouthfeel in the finish, I would have liked it even more.
