How does this rum taste?
The Spirit of Art, a limited edition rum from Mauritius, offers a complex sensory journey. Its aroma carries ripe banana, mango, and oak with medicinal hints and marmalade nuances. On the palate, vanilla and caramel blend with sugarcane brightness, though some feel the alcoholic punch overshadows the subtle flavors. Our RumX community shares mixed experiences—some enjoy its tropical charm and aged character, while others find it too youthful and unbalanced. This independently bottled release by Valinch & Mallet invites adventurous rum lovers to explore a unique, collectible expression with a creative twist.

#4117 I'd say this one is a bit disappointing because the other releases were pretty good on average. Naturally sweet with fruit and light roasted wood and lightly dry on the palate. Draws nice curtains and the empty glass is nice with stronger chocolate and a very light smoky note.
Besserer Neutralalkohol. Sehr entäuschend.
A mediocre rum killed of by a terrible finish. The penetration of cheap vanillin already fights the wine cask in the nose and this imbalance only continues in the tasting. Again a surprise at this price point
