"#4120 I was looking forward to this old rum but it was rather disappointing. Even after a very long rest the ABV was still kind of dominant masquerading the other flavours. Roasted wood comes in second followed by sule fruit, spices and caramel. Draws nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some tobacco and leather notes."
"Interesting nose. Taste on the rather sweet side with vanilla, toffee, some wood and subtle spices. Not much more happens - enough for a pleasing sipper, but is also not a revelation for a rum aged for thirty years."
"Unbelievable that after 30 years of storage, the alcohol is still poorly integrated and not much comes across in taste other than neutral alcohol."
