“Farbe: Mahagoni Unmittelbar nach dem Öffnen der Flasche Geruch: Riecht unmittelbar nach dem Öffnen überraschend stark alkoholisch und scharf. Dabei leicht fruchtig mit Rosinen sowie Holz, Sherry und Cognac. Geschmack: Prickelt alkoholisch im Mund. Beim Schlucken wenig harmonisch/ rund. Süß nach Honig mit etwas Toffee und zudem holzig und würzig pfeffrig. Die Aromen sind wenig intensiv. Das alkoholische unausgewogene überwiegt. Etwas überraschend für einen 18-jährigen. Abgang: Mittellang Holzig-trocken und leicht bitter Fazit: Eine Enttäuschung … der Guajiro Anejo Machete schmeckte im direkten Vergleich deutlich besser. Nach mehrtägigem Stehen der angebrochenen Flasche: Geruch: Weniger alkoholisch und scharf. Geschmack: Das alkoholische entspricht jetzt dem, was man bei 40% erwartet. Weich und süß nach Honig und Rosinen, Sherry und Cognac, Toffee und Karamell. Zudem altes Holz und angenehm leicht würzig pfeffrig. Angenehm zu trinken und lecker. Abgang: Mittellang Süß mit Sherry und Cognac, angenehm würzig und holzig. Auch im Nachgeschmack noch angenehm und lecker. Fazit: Auf Teneriffa habe ich im Mai 2023 gerade mal 27€ für die Flasche bezahlt. Für einen 18-jährigen!!! Dafür ist das ein klasse Rum, sofern man ihn nicht unmittelbar nach dem Öffnen trinkt sondern ein paar Tage wartet. Viele hier auf Teneriffa haben mir gesagt, dass der 12-jährige besser ist. Ich bin mir da nicht so sicher und empfehle dem 18-jährigen eine Chance zu geben. Bei dem Preis kann man nicht viel falsch machen.”
