“Un rhum d’Indonésie assez spécial, dont la finition fait que le nez est ultra liquoreux et sucré, à la fois déroutant et écœurant à la longue. Fruits rouges et raisins se joignent aux festivités pour un concentré moelleux qui frôle l’overdose. Clairement pas le nez le plus attirant. Heureusement, le rhum se rattrape en bouche en voulant plus accessible et un peu plus docile sur les saveurs. Si on ressent toujours les marqueurs principaux (noix de coco, notes sucrées, fruits du verger), les épices, notamment la cannelle, et la touche d’alcool qui rappelle le vin et le bourbon donnent un peu d’ouverture au profil. La finale est assez longue, collante sur les dents, marquant durablement le palais de son empreinte sur le fruit, le caramel et l’alcool. Toutefois, c’est ce soupçon de boisé tannique sur le chocolat et le café qui fait la différence. Un rhum très spécial qui ne conviendra pas à tout le monde.”
