Edit Edit Tasted again in the Daiquiri, a real bomb Edit: Also destroyed the rest with cola. No real clear winner to recognize Comparison between the two ABV bombs from Romdeluxe. What can I say, you don't need to take a big sip of either. Both are truly absolute ester explosions. At some point you lose track of all the aromas and flavors you have discovered. Unfortunately, after tasting them two or three times, I can no longer really distinguish between them because of all the flavor explosions. In conclusion, both have charm and there is no real favorite for me.

Brachial hits it quite well . Lots of fruit and a blatant ester sticky nose. Really intense in the mouth, even small sips fill the mouth immediately ... Fruity and almost chemical. For me definitely something for cocktails.

#4253 16.09.2023 Whisky N Rum Show 2023. We used this one to convince a whisky drinker (hard core guy) after he tried the other Jamaica releases. This one kicked him over the edge and he admitted "Wow, this is really good". I agree, I do like these heavy hitters once in a while and this day it was spot on. Almost rotates fruit and an explosion of flavours on the palate. Needs to rest for at least 15 minutes to release all the flavours,, but then it's yummy.

To be honest, I think this rum is very good. Lots of esters and solvents on the nose, but of course also very alcoholic. On the palate there's also a little fruit. Despite everything, the 85% is really very well integrated.

Surprisingly well integrated considering the alcohol strength. Absolute ester beast with lots of fruit, especially furry sour kiwi and some soapy lychee and various berry fruits. In the daiquiri as was to be expected also quite a beast but tasty. But you have to be in the mood for it 😆

Very interesting. Beautifully overripe and rotten and by the intensity of 85% certainly a grenade in the cocktail. Pure certainly not an easy sipper but horny.

Die intensiven Ester dringen brutal auf die Geschmackspapillen mit vielen Lösungsmittel- und Klebstoffnoten ein, wobei es wiederum sehr erstaunlich ist, wie nach dem ersten Schockmoment die Speicheldrüsen zu arbeiten beginnen und sich dadurch eine angenehme Cremigkeit mit feinen Fruchtaromen entwickelt. Hinten raus wird es dann recht pflanzlich. Pur ein echter Nackenbrecher, aber zum Mixen eine absolute Granate!

Likely the highest ABV% I've tasted in a while, in this one. I have been getting into the distilliation-strength rums the later years. Very flavorful, where the sugarcane and the grassy nose is prominent. Read on the bottlers website that it has an ester-count in between 1500-1700, which you can certainly taste

This rum aims to be nothing less than a brutal ester bomb, with even the smallest drop triggering intense explosions of flavor. What can I say, it does exactly what it should. If you give it a little rest in the glass, you can taste the tropical fruits and ester notes. The high ABV ensures an expansive mouthfeel.
