Ziemlich gut. 8,5 Gaumen: warm und cremig, würzig-fruchtig mit leichter Karamell-Süße. Hat was von Brioche. Dazu tropische Früchte mit Kokosnuss, speckig-nussig mit Tonkabohne. Intensiv Bourbon und Tabak mit Vanille-Aroma. Auch hier echt lecker. Mal was Gutes von den Philippinen 😉. 8,3
Rum from the Philippines. I repeat: RUM! It's nice to see that other distilleries there can also produce decent rums. The taste is somewhere between Belize and Barbados, nicely caramelized, slightly sweet and fruity, but also with plenty of power. The alcohol could be a little better integrated, but otherwise a nice drop!
Auto-translatedEven better than the PX, the bourbon barrel complements the funky & fruity distillate. Wouldn’t have expected this from the Philippines, feels like a wilder cousin from Jamaica. Keen to see this with some additional aging and better casks!
The nose is really promising. A pleasant sweetness, caramel, spices, vanilla, ger. Nuts, chocolate. Blindly, I would probably have guessed FS. On the palate, everything that the nose has announced can be found again. Probably by far the best I've had from the Philippines so far :D
