A reissue of the opus celebrating LMDW's 65th anniversary, this wood-aged Neisson gives off beautiful pastry, floral and fruity notes, combining the freshness of sugarcane, the deliciousness of chocolate and nuts, the voluptuousness of exotic fruits and citrus, and the liveliness of spices. A sweet, full, gourmand nose. The attack on the palate is gentle. Spices, chocolate, caramel, almond and hazelnut bind together in a smooth, gourmand framework, closely followed by tropical and dried fruit, with notes of fruitcake. Sugar cane evokes its sweetness to amplify this gourmet rum sensation. The alcohol is well integrated. The finish, of good length, unsurprisingly evokes the aromas described above: fruit, spices, cane sugar, chocolate, caramel and nuts. Leaving aside the relatively high price for a young rum like this, this cuvée is a very interesting way to discover the world of Neisson.
