How does this rum taste?
- Accessible Caroni entry-level rum
- Inviting tar and fruit aromas
- Balanced for casual sipping
The Bristol Classic VSOC rum from Trinidad's famed Caroni distillery is a pot and column still creation, distilled in 2003 and aged for a decade. With a 40% ABV, this rum presents a unique blend of tar, dried fruit, and subtle spice aromas. On the palate, expect herbal, tar, and vanilla notes offering a complex yet accessible profile. Users appreciate its characteristic nose and easy drinkability, though some find it too diluted, affecting the depth of flavor. Ideal for newcomers to Caroni's distinct style, this rum offers a balanced experience, though at a lighter intensity typical of this distillery’s high-proof offerings. Its mild proof makes it a refined choice for casual sipping.

To Caroni
"Tasted by a friend. Very good, I love Caroni! Didn't feel the sherry barrel aging. Too light."
"This is a great example of why rum should not be watered down. Most of the profile is a mere ghost of what it could have been."
