“Une belle surprise parmi les sorties de chez Rum Runner. Le nez est très parfumé, avec de belles saveurs épicées, boisées et torréfiées qui se conjuguent pour une bonne dose de gourmandise. Les fruits exotiques et les notes florales viennent jouer les troubles-fêtes et apporter de la fraîcheur. Un profil très aromatique et avenant. L’attaque en bouche est très onctueuse. On retrouve le fruité avec la noix de coco, la papaye et les fruits secs, alors que le côté sombre prend peu à peu le dessus avec des notes de tabac, de café, de chocolat, de vanille, de muscade et de toast. Le boisé est bien fondu et l’alcool très bien intégré. Le profil reste savoureux tout au long de la dégustation. La finale est un peu plus sèche et tannique, mais s’éternise sur la gourmandise des rhums Demerara, à la fois expressive et d’une grande rondeur. Un très bon Diamond des temps modernes.”
