“#4257 16.09.2023 Whisky N Rum Show 2023. Price to quality is pretty good in my mind. A fresh and fruity rum with nice spices and roasted wood. Warm and oily palate with a medium to long finish. I really like the floral notes as they compliment the overall profile. The empty glass had a light nuttyness to it.”

“A Fijian rum heavily influenced by the old Muscat cask. The nose offers a myriad of exotic fruits (banana, pineapple, mango), followed by light oak, some esters, spices and vanilla and caramel sweetness. Sweet and inviting. The attack on the palate is very round. The rum is fat, oily and very syrupy. The Muscat cask brings out the tannins, alcohol and sugar. This dominant wineiness de facto eclipses the exotic fruits that lurk in the shadows. The long finish returns to esters, tannins and woody, spicy, caramelized notes. Tropical fruits and dried fruits take a back seat. A smooth, easy-drinking rum that can be a gateway for people to discover new flavors in the world of rum.”

“Not quite round, a little young, but great vanilla and honey on the finish.”
