A very column still nose. Lots of metallic and creamy notes. Beyond that I get something similar to a prune syrup. An odd vegetal in the background. The palate deviates from the nose becoming quite molasses and fruit driven. A bit of allspice prickling the tounge. The finish is quite sharp, hot and last for a good amount of time. Some tropical fruit. It's not a bad rum. Would hold up in a few cocktails I'm sure. Nothing to blow somebody away though.
I use this as an adjunct rum in cocktails (to calm down angry Jamaican rums) so interesting to taste by itself. Pretty solid.
