How does this rum taste?
The Spirit of Art is an Australian rum, bottled by Valinch & Mallet, distilled at Beenleigh in 2007 from molasses using pot stills. Aged 16 years and bottled at cask strength with a 57.6% ABV, it is a limited release of only 176 bottles. Predominantly woody with hints of esters, fruitiness, and polish, this rum offers an interesting balance of aromas and flavors. It’s described as surprisingly fruity for an Australian rum, with a complex palate ranging from spicy and roasted notes to herbal and woody elements. Some reviewers find its alcoholic presence a bit overpowering, while others appreciate its unique profile and well-integrated alcohol.

#4056 A pretty good release from Valinch & Mallet i think. The price is pretty OK and I have ordered a bottle because I like it. Well balanced and the wood isn't dominant and does well with the fruit and light polish/varnish notes. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some nougat and salty notes.
