“Tasted for the first time at ProWein in Düsseldorf. Lots of green apple and herbs (dill?) on the nose. On the palate creamy sweet (in a positive sense) and spicy floral. Some nutmeg and green fruits again. After half an hour the rum opens up and you are rewarded with a great balanced profile. Spicy, some floral and a pleasant sweetness. Alcohol very well integrated.”

“Unfortunately, I did not have this rum when I cross-tasted the Savannas available in the house last Sunday. But the memory is still quite fresh, so I see this Savanna somewhere in the midfield einsortiert.mir has the rum due to the green apple association actually most likely reminded me of a Sancti Spíritus 1998. “I didn’t take any notes at the Rhum Fest so a more detailed review will follow as soon as I get the chance to sample this rum again in a better context. This was definitely the highlight of the rums I tasted at the Rhum Fest 2023! Edit: Third tasting, I reduced my note from 89 to 85. Floral with delicate spices. Wood, caramel and a hint of licorice. Makes for a very round easy sipper.”
