Poisson Distillery has named their Rhum after Père Labat (Father Labat), a French multi-talented Dominican missionary that among lots of other things also improved the development process of Rhum with the introduction of Charentaise distillation, which is used to make Cognac, that made the Rhum more floral and round instead of sharp and burning.
#4045 After resting this one for a good time it's a really intense rum where the Agricole notes are stronger than in the previous ones. Lightly fruity with notes from standing in the meadows in an early morning. Light floral notes and the citrus is nice. Price to quality is very good.
A great white agricole ❤️
Probably the best white rum in this price range (20/25€). Strong and very vegetal, top in ti punch. Great classic.
