How does this rum taste?
The House of Cane Asien - Caribbean Rum (Singapore) is crafted from molasses and sugar cane juice, distilled with both pot and column stills. It features a blend of tropical fruit aromas, roasted notes, and subtle hints of coffee and raisins. On the palate, it presents tropical fruits, esters, woody undertones, and chocolate nuances. Despite its 43% ABV, it retains a decent power balance and offers value for money, making it a convenient choice for sipping or mixing. While its Jamaican influence is notable, some users find it slightly thin and suggest mild improvements.

7,3:On the nose, quite strong fermented tropical fruits-banana, pineapple, esters, underneath some nail polish, are the first thing teasing our nosetrils, but they quickly wane to cheese mixed with roasted wood and vanilla. On aeration, another cheek if this rum is shown to us with quite heavy roastedness and notes like cocoa, caramel, confectionery and nuts, metallic, slightly spicier as before, flowery, herbaceous and vegetal, still fruity with raisins and hints of citrus fruits. 7,6:On the palate, the attack is actually Jamaican with esters and tropical fruits like before, with raisins, a feeling of a bit diluted rum crawls into our mind a bit later, but roasted wood notes take over and balance it with dark chocolate, leather, nuts, some orange peel, spices like vanilla, baking spices, a bit metallic now and flowery.Resting brings much stronger Asian spices, bitter molasses with vegetal notes, later come tea, herbaceous and grassy tones, calming down the power of spice, salted caramel with pastry and dried apricots. 7,3:The finish is long for the reason of Asian spices strongly present, dry, with most of palate notes lingering on..
Nice blend of Jamaican & Asian rums, fruity and punchy enough to survive in a cocktail. But can also be a good sipper. //retaste at GRF: entry blend, easy sipping but nothing overly exciting. A bit thin
Richtig guter Blend! Schön ausgewogen. Nicht zu viel Jamaika. Gefällt mir Gut!
