“Ein Foursquare, der 15 Jahre in einen Ex-Mslt Whisky Fass reifte? Ob mir das gefällt? Aber vielleicht macht das aus den -aus meiner Sicht- oft sehr ähnlichen 4eck‘s mal was anderes (und mal kein Oloroso 😉 ist ja auch nicht schlecht). Nase: frisch fruchtig, mit viel grünem Apfel, Limette und Zitrone. Dazu noch Stachelbeere und etwas Sauerkirsche. Das Malt-Fass riecht man deutlich heraus (nix torfiges, ein weicher Highland vielleicht). Die Frische wird noch durch erst Peperoni unterstrichen. Hinten leicht karamellig. 8,0 Gaumen: säuerliche Frucht überwiegt; Stachelbeere, Johannisbeere und Limette. Wirkt dadurch sehr frisch, aber auch etwas metallisch. Der Malt-Whisky kommt auch hier sehr deutlich durch. Etwas Muskat spendet leichte Würze. Hinten raus wieder Limette, leicht metallisch und etwas salzig. 7,8 Mal ein etwas anderer Foursquare, nicht schlecht, jedoch ist das Whisky-Fass über die 15 Jahre etwas zu dominant geworden.”
