With just 162 bottles available, this 61.4% ABV rum offers a unique profile of tropical fruit and ester aromas, overlaid with notes of marzipan and barreling. 26-27.01.2024 Hanse Spirit Retasting and still like it a lot. ---------------------- #4564 20.01.2024 Relaxing a bit today ☺️ This is a pretty good release. The ABV could have been better integrated, but resting it for a good 30+ minutes will do it good. Nice fruity profile overall and the nose is intense with some ester and light marzipan. The palate is intense and spicy with nice fruit and light esters. The finish is long and warm with nice fruits. The empty glass has some light caramel and faint nutts.
Good sipper ... LROK gene still to feel.... nevertheless, the storage in the Oloroso barrel is too much for me personally .It does not destroy the rum completely but predominates yet very much .cherry,banana and vanilla arrive in the nose and on the palate ... quite ok but clearly too expensive
Nice easy sipper. The Hampden DNA is noticeable, however the sherry clearly dominates. Fruity and creamy.
