"#4167 I have been through quite a few Mount Gays and the top releases are usually pretty good. So is this one. Fruity with roasted wood and a warm and lightly dry palate. Good balance between the flavours and ABV."
"Extremely horny fullproof black barrel! Very round and harmonious, makes itself really good in the Corn'n'Oil!"
"The rum needs some time in the glass. Then it has a lovely moisture of dried fruit and orange peel on the nose. It also has a honey sweetness and slight hints of clove. Unmistakably Mount Gay. Woody in the mouth with roasted nuts. Some caramel and banana bread that is too dry. The charred bourbon barrel comes through a little too much for me. In combination, there is an interesting, almost salty note. The finish is then much more pleasing again."
"Fruity, roasted nose, a lovely chocolatey note with a hint of caramel in the mouth. The alcohol is well integrated. The finish was medium long, mild for the alcohol strength and dark chocolate remains. So Mount Gay can do better after all ;)"
