Very pleasant rum to drink. It's good neat, but it's even better in cocktails like Old Cuban. It has strong vanilla flavour, but other spices are also noticeable. The smell is sweet, spicy with dominating vanilla. Overall it's very good rum especially to mix it in cocktails.
Despite the fact that I didn't have high expectations knowing my tastes, I'm still disappointed. On the nose: a lot of cinnamon (as throughout the tasting). Not being a fan of this spice, of course... But tastes and colors. On the palate: cinnamon, vanilla, pepper, chilli. Finish: medium-bodied with vanilla and a hint of pepper.
Perfect stuff to make a cuba libre
