Tried it again today against the new FRC For me, the FRC has the edge Another 94 New Yarmouth that I have now tasted. From memory, compared to the Insane 94 tasting, I would put this one in the good midfield. More on the creamy, chocolatey side. Nevertheless, the 94 NYs are all at a high level
A fine representative of New Yarmouth 94, with very well-integrated alcohol and complex aromas. We want more! The nose is fruity, with an elegant woodiness slightly covered by acetone. It's very gourmand, with hints of almond cake. The alcohol is perfectly integrated on the palate, with brown sugar and tropical fruit. The finish is long, still with almond cake and light oak. The empty glass is splendid, with complex, homogeneous aromas. The best of this rum.
A lovely old jamaican that is well worth searching out and trying. well integrated, I would not have guessed that it was 67.1%! Cool bottle label as well. I'm getting some acetone notes along with caramel and fruits. Woody with a long finish
Super exciting and complex taste! Only the alcohol is quite present in the finish and could be better integrated. Long finish with alcoholic and slightly bitter notes.
