This is my jam right here! This rum has perfectly complimented the Moscatel cask it’s been matured in - there’s mention of French Oak but I’m not detecting much (to my senses anyway) This Moscatel cask was a juicy and active one! Honey drizzled currants, prunes and raisins, rather juicy dram this one… The finish is just medium length - it goes strong and then just vanishes instantly which is strange however an immensely enjoyable one Just a shame it’s sold out - I would’ve happily bought one
A really lovely rum. So good I purchased full bottle after my 20cl. Amazingly only £60 on sale at Harveynix. Really dense stick prune molasses french oak varnish.
My first grays. A rum of many faces. The nose is all aged Guyana, raisin, demera sugar and rich molasses. The mouth is different, some menthol, coffee, and molasses. Leads do a lighter and more exciting finish with hay, cigar, green fresh grass and some sticky caramel. Interesting and enjoyable rum
