How does this rum taste?
The Wild Series Rum Origin No. 3 Guyana DLR from the Diamond distillery is an unaged white rum with a high 60% ABV. Noted for its aromatic qualities, it delivers a complex profile with prominent notes of varnish, vanilla, and dried fruit. Users appreciate its suitability for blending in cocktails such as daiquiris but note its potential value lies more in mixing than sipping. While praised for its strong and balanced profile, some find the alcohol presence overwhelming. It's a visually appealing choice for rum enthusiasts who enjoy experimenting with mixers, though its high pricing can be a deterrent for some.

I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 46,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Franconian Tasting Gang goes Tiki Edit: a little shallow on the nose, better on the palate. For me, it's more of a mixer than drinking it straight. Considering the price, it's very questionable whether I would really buy it as a mixer, as there are better ones for cheaper prices. But at least the label is successful, even if the rest is not convincing.
This is also a really nice white rum and I can only imagine how it would boost a mixer to the max. Very rounded and balanced profile with great ABV integration. Love the spice touch and fruit elements. There is a very light licorice on the palate and nutts on the finish. Draws really nice curtains in the glass. Just discovered polish notes in the empty glass 😊
Very pleasant fruit and spice ... nothing unusual as expected, see this more as a mixer in various cocktails, nice to have tried him ... I would buy him in view of the course probably not (even if the bottle are extremely beautiful 😁)
Nose is something akin to vodka+artificial citrus flavor. Taste is very intense, creamy and flavorful. Very nice to see this as an unaged bottling.
