How does this rum taste?
- Intense dark chocolate note
- Long, balanced oaky finish
- Complex, layered aromas
Dark chocolate is the star here, backed by deep woody and raisin notes, then layered with caramel, roasted undertones, and hints of leather and fruit. Many RumX tasters appreciate the balance of full-bodied richness with subtle sweetness—though some note a gentle tannic bitterness and oak influence. Ideal for those who savor complex, chocolate-forward Demeraras with real depth. Worth sampling if you appreciate mature, dessert-style rums.

"Liquid Paulaner Spezi!😃Very tasty, even if I would never have guessed enmore here, let alone port mourant. Very intense sweet fruity notes almost like a spezi (cola + orange). Keyword cola cacher!"
"A rum tasted at Rum Depot in Berlin. A sweet nose of candy sugar, marzipan and tart apple. The palate begins by expressing the acidity sensed on the nose, then the pastry side and a noble bitterness crown this beautiful evolution. The finish is clean, with yellow fruit and noble bitterness, and is quite long. The empty glass is on wood and marzipan."
"heute die drei El Dorado Last Casks im Glas (red, black, gold label). Der schwarze ein 98er PM / Enmore / Tri-Canada blend. An der Nase kräftiger als der rote Bruder, es kommen mehr säuerliche Früchte, Piment, Karamell, und etwas in Richtung Lakritz oder Schwarzbrot. Am Gaumen Fass, röstig, sirup-artige Süße. Ranking: schwarz, gold, rot."
"#4264 16.09.2023 Whisky N Rum Show 2023. I didn't try that many rums on site, but I did manage to taste the last two ot the Last Casks. I still think they're too expensive compared to what you get. This one is nicely balanced and medium fruity with roasted wood and spices. The palate is oily with an added coffee note. Medium finish with light fruit and caramel. Draws really nice curtains in the glass."
